2. What we collect
Request forms ("Check a name" and "Request a search"): your name, email address, the trademark, the countries you are interested in and, optionally, a description of the goods or services. On the "Request a search" page you may also give, optionally, your company name, the type of trademark (word, logo or both) and a short note on the logo. We also record which version of this notice was shown to you.
"Book a consultation" form: your name, email address and what you would like to talk about and, optionally, a trademark, countries, how you would like to talk (phone, video or email) and the days and times that suit you, with your time zone. We also record which version of this notice was shown to you.
"Privacy request" form: your name, email address, the kind of request you make and, optionally, details of your request. We also record which version of this notice was shown to you.
Emails you send us: your email address and anything you choose to include.
Technical data: when you visit the site, our hosting and security provider Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. On pages with a request form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is submitted by a person and not by an automated program.
Please do not send us ID numbers, health information, payment details or passwords.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
To reply to your request, arrange a consultation, check your trademark and prepare a quote: this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (KVKK Art. 5(2)(c); GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
To keep the site and forms secure and free of spam: our legitimate interest in protecting the site (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f); GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
To comply with legal obligations where they apply, including answering your privacy requests (KVKK Art. 5(2)(ç); GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).
When your request becomes a client relationship, we transfer the information we need from the request (your name or company name, email address, trademark and countries) to your client file. This is necessary to conclude and perform the contract with you (KVKK Art. 5(2)(c); GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
We do not use your data for marketing, we do not sell it and we do not make automated decisions about you. If you become a client, the client-file rules in sections 3, 5, 6 and 7 apply.
4. How we collect it
Electronically, through the forms on this site and by email. We do not send an automatic email in reply to a form. A person writes every reply.
5. Who receives it
Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): website hosting, network and security services, including Turnstile and the processing of form submissions.
Zoho Corporation B.V. (Netherlands): email services; our mailbox is hosted in Zoho's EU data centres. Each request is also delivered by email to our mailbox at [email protected].
Our internal request system, operated in Türkiye by Cavus IP (Can Çavuş) on our behalf, as our data processor. Only authorised persons working for us have access. It does not store your IP address, and what you type into a form is not written to its log files.
Partner firms abroad: only when you ask us to arrange a dispute. We share with the partner in the country concerned only the information that matter needs, and only for that matter.
Public authorities, only where we are legally required to disclose data.
A table of what data goes where, and who can see it, is in our Data record.
6. International transfers
Your data may be processed outside Türkiye (in the EU and the United States) and, if you are in the EU, outside the European Economic Area (in Türkiye and the United States). For these transfers we rely on the safeguards required by Article 9 of KVKK and Chapter V of the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses and, for Cloudflare, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
When you ask us to arrange a dispute, we share the information needed for that matter with the partner in the country concerned. The data protection rules of that country may differ from yours. This is an occasional transfer, necessary to perform our contract with you and to establish, exercise or protect a legal right (KVKK Art. 9(6); GDPR Art. 49(1)(b) and (e)). We share only what the matter needs.
The country where your data is stored: [Can dolduracak].
7. How long we keep it
Requests that do not become a client relationship: request records, including our internal notes, are deleted automatically 12 months after we receive them. Deleted records may remain in backups for up to 35 more days. Request emails in our mailbox are deleted within the same 12-month period.
Client files: the information moved into your client file (section 3), together with related dispute records, is deleted 10 years after the file is closed.
Technical data processed by Cloudflare is kept under Cloudflare's own retention policies.
We delete your data earlier if you ask us to, unless we are required by law to keep it.
8. Cookies
Our website code does not set cookies. If you switch the site to dark mode, your browser remembers that choice on your device (local storage) so that the next page opens the same way. It is not sent to us and contains no personal data. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security cookies or similar technologies to protect the site. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
9. Your rights
Under KVKK (Art. 11) and the GDPR (Arts. 15-22), you may ask whether we process your data and request access to it; learn the purpose of the processing and whether your data is used accordingly; know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred; ask us to correct, delete or restrict it and to notify recipients of this; object to processing, including to a result arising solely from automated analysis that affects you negatively; receive your data in a portable format; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
To exercise your rights, use our privacy request form, or write to [email protected] from the email address you used to contact us. We reply free of charge within 30 days (KVKK) and within one month (GDPR). You may also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu, kvkk.gov.tr) or, if you are in the EU, to the data protection authority in your country.
